Part of Geohydroconsulting’s team attended on the Third Macedonian Road Congress which was held in the period 6-7 November in Skopje. In addition to the poster presentation of our published paper, we had the opportunity to exchange knowledge and explore the latest developments and projects in the field of road infrastructure, both from Macedonia and abroad.
Read MoreThe Unified Soil Classification System (USCS) is a standardized method based on their engineering properties and grain-size distribution of the soil. USCS categorizes soils into two main groups: coarse-grained soils (such as gravels and sands) and fine-grained soils (like silts and clays), each further divided into several subgroups based on their physical characteristics. USCS classification is crucial in geotechnical engineering for assessing soil behavior, determining foundation suitability, and guiding construction methods to ensure stability and function of structures built on or with soil materials. This soil classification provides a systematic framework that helps geotechnical engineers and geologists interpret soil properties effectively across various engineering applications
